NIS Future Talk

NIS Future Talk brought together senior students to share their experiences of studying and growing in Singapore. Through their personal journeys, our students gained valuable insights into education pathways, career choices, and future opportunities.

At NIS, we create meaningful experiences that inspire students to explore, learn, and plan for their future.

Aria Zhang: When Should You Start Planning Your Future in Singapore?

Unlike Zeng, Aria chose a different pathway after her O-Level:

Secondary School → JC → University → Banking.

She came to Singapore at a younger age, entered the local education system, and later progressed to Junior College (JC) before studying at Singapore Management University (SMU).

After graduation, she joined Bank of China Singapore Branch, where she gained experience in private banking, credit, risk and control.

Her journey shows that future planning starts early — from choosing the right education pathway and university course, to gaining internship experience and building the right career direction.
Justin: Does Your Child Need to Know What They Want to Do in the Future?

After graduating from high school in Xi’an, Jutsin studied at UCLA before coming to Singapore for his MBA.

His career journey took him from consulting and think tanks to AI-driven drug discovery, and then to wealth management., showing that career paths can change along the way.

His message is simple: A child’s choices at 18 do not define their future. What matters is the ability to adapt, make decisions, and embrace new opportunities.

“Knowledge is no longer the most valuable thing. Ability is.”
Why NIS Future Talks?

By sharing real-life success stories, we hope international students can see a child’s journey of growth over 10 years or even longer.

We want to bring more people who have truly walked these paths back to our campus and share their experiences with our students.
