The Junior and Middle Year Courses at Nanyang International School (NIS) consists of Junior 1 to Junior Year 4 and Middle Year 5 to Middle Year 6, designed for students aged 7 to 12 years old. Each course is conducted on a full-time, face-to-face basis over a duration of 12 months, providing students with a structured and supportive learning environment.

The course adopts a holistic approach to education, supporting students' academic, personal, and social development. Through engaging classroom learning and interactive activities, students are encouraged to build essential skills such as critical thinking, communication, creativity, and collaboration while developing confidence and curiosity in their learning journey.

Students' progress is evaluated through a combination of project-based, performance-based, spoken, written, and physical assessments, allowing the School to assess learning outcomes through a variety of methods.

The course also offers optional bilingual learning opportunities, where students may choose to study Russian or Mandarin as Mother Tongue language. Students who require additional English support may also participate in the English Support Programme (ESP).

Upon successful completion of the course and meeting the required academic requirements, students will be awarded a Certificate of Completion by Nanyang International School.

Students may enrol directly into Secondary 1 or Secondary 2, subject to the school's admission assessment and placement. The programme follows the Singapore secondary school curriculum, building a strong foundation in core academic subjects while preparing students for progression to the next level.

The GCE O-Level Preparatory Course is a two-year programme designed to prepare students for the Singapore-Cambridge GCE O-Level Examinations.
